My passion for writing began early. I was eight when I wrote my own version of Annie, I loved Carol Burnett as Miss Hannigan. She inspired me to express myself. I went home that afternoon and wrote what happened to Annie after the happily ever ending. I always questioned, what next, what happens now? What if? I am still asking the same questions. I love the writing process.
I was raised in Nova Scotia, a wonderful province to grow up, but I had other plans to visit and travel to other areas of the country and beyond.
After university, I headed west. I lived in the mountains in Alberta for over ten years and working in the hospitality field gave me many and varied experiences to write about. With my love great of nature and the ocean, it was natural that I ended up on Vancouver Island. I moved to Tofino with my partner, Adam. In Tofino, I became a member of the Clayoquot Writers Group. With the CWG my quest for creative expression through my writing was rekindled and I realized that creativity was in my blood.
I currently live in Fredericton, NB and still working in the hospitality field, and dabble in other adventures as well, like starting a small scale farming business with my husband focusing on microgreens. Writing is in my blood and I want to share the great journey of creativity!
Most of my writing is done in my writing room on our farm, however, I’m looking for a quiet cafe to emerge myself into the Fredericton writing community. I would love to meet up with other writers in the community to share all things writing.
I invite you to join me in the creative process.
The one thing I will promise is to write. I can’t promise to be a daily blog writer, if I know myself, I’d say every week would be a good start.
