I read a post on Facebook the other day; it hit home for me, I mean I have a lot of books as I’m sure most of us writers, artists do.
I thought about it for a few days and I’m challenging myself to read the books on my shelves, and as a write I have many books on writing that I never read (funny how that works). So,I picked one off the shelf and started to read.
As we know everything happens for a reason and I’m so aware of the serendipitous events of brining me to the point to pick this book up that I’m giggling at the cheer pleasure of it all. Brenda Ueland has made me laugh, and say “Yes, that’s right!” and that only the first nine pages! I can’t wait to get deeper into her notions.
And so now you will begin to work at your writing. Remember these things. Work with all your intelligence and love. Work freely and rollickingly as though they were talking to a friend who loves you. Mentally (at least three or four times a day) thumb your nose at all the know-it-alls, jeerers, critics, doubters. And so that you will work long hours and not neglect it. ~Brenda Ueland
So simple, you will not neglect it. So what’s stopping you now?
Until next time, keeping on typing…
